Welcome to the Heart-Centered Entrepreneur podcast. I want you to be rich. Yes, I want abundant financial success for your business, but I don't just care about your business making money. I care about you too. I want you to be rich and happiness in the impact you make in your relationships and in how you give back. I'm Anna. I built my six figure business as a side hustle while I was pregnant with my daughter in 2016. Now I've helped dozens of women do the same. I'm here to help you build a profitable heart-centered fully book business with the latest tips on sales and visibility with proven mindset hacks and sneak peeks behind the scenes with what's working right now in the online space and in my business ready to make more money with heart. Let's go.

    Anna (00:50):

I love a CEO day <laugh>. Basically when my clients meet with me for a one-on-one session, it counts as CEO time, vaguely required time where you stop working in your business, answering emails, looking at the desk mess showing up for your clients, and I get to show up for you and you get to relax and you get to be messy and you get to cry and you get to be upset and you get to have, talk about your challenges. It's so important that we have space to be our messy self and have breakthrough to have that margin. And I feel like CEO time or CEO sessions, one-on-one coaching sessions are one of the best ways to get that mandatory thinking time. Because if you set an hour on your calendar and you're like, I'm gonna journal for an hour, how likely is that to happen <laugh>, right?

    Anna (01:45):

If you have a meeting with me for one hour, you're gonna show up for that, right? 'cause you're showing up for me, but really you're showing up for you. And so I just cannot enough emphasize, and that's why even in my group mastermind, I include one-on-one CEO sessions. I just think they are so important because it forces us to consistently be thinking as our best self, right? In the day-to-day of our business, we are going to be reacting, we're going to be feeling somewhat emotional, our mood's gonna be up and down, right? But when we are having that CEO time, we're able to tap into our higher level self, make a plan, and then in the rest of our business just show up for that plan. And for my clients that are working a three day work week, I find that this is so essential, right?

    Anna (02:27):

A lot of people are like, oh, I'm just working part-time hours. I don't have time for coaching or for CEO time, you know, if you're working part-time hours, you especially need high touch attention. You especially need to be making savvy decisions and moving through mindset blocks. You especially need to be knowing your exact plan. That way when you sit down for your five to 20 hours a week to work, you are getting down to business. So today I wanna talk about CEO time. I actually have a promotion I'm doing right now, which is promoting my CEO days, my intensives. If you have wanted to work with me as a coach and you have never done that before, maybe we worked together in the past and you're thinking about doing it again basically for a thousand bucks, you get my high touch attention. I don't know if I'm always going to do this, but for now it's an offer that feels really aligned for me.

    Anna (03:18):

My one-on-one is fully booked right now. So this is a way to work with me one-on-one and get that intensive strategy for a snip. And so what it includes is a setting five minute session and then a follow up 30 minute session so you can actually start taking action <laugh> and I can support you around that. And we give e support. So make sure you check your email if you're watching this in real time, because I have one more CEO session left for the rest of the year. Some of my one-on-one clients actually fly in person to do a CEO day with me. Some of my current clients like just designate a current session as a CEO session. But this is your opportunity to do a CEO strategy session with me if you aren't a current client. And I would love, love to support you. Basically what we do is we come up with the most potent thing that's holding you back.

    Anna (04:07):

And that's sometimes half the problem, right? Is figuring out what is my biggest challenge area. I always encourage my clients to think before they get to the mastermind session to ask themself where do I most need support? Because yes, it's great for our coach to support us, for our mastermind sisters to give us ideas, but it's our job as a CEO of our business to ask ourself where do I most need support? What's my biggest area of challenge? And even in asking that question before I even answer you, you've done half the work because you've gotten clear on of all the problems I could solve in my business, what's the most potent one? What's the one that's gonna bring me the most stability, the most money, the most cash flow in business? There's always a thousand problems to solve. For example, my beautiful OBM Lauren and I have like these two little backend things in my business that we've been kind of like pushing off for a while now purposefully, right?

    Anna (04:57):

One is a little glitch that my Google Drive has been having and yeah, it bugs the hell outta me, but I know that I can tolerate some things being undone to get the things done that matter the most done. Some of you are obsessing about inbox zero and not writing that book, right? Some of you are worrying about updating your website and forgetting to launch that offer that that is so passionate on your heart, but you're afraid to launch that group launch offer, right? And I just think business is so much figuring out what is the most important problem to be solved. Or as I tell some of my clients like What's the crying baby? A lot of times my clients will come to session with a question and I'm like, Hmm, is that baby crying? Like do we have to fix that? Right? This is the phrase I actually got from my dad, right?

    Anna (05:44):

But really looking at when you come to session, you have a question. It's really identifying for you, oh, this is where I should be putting my focus and my creativity and my energy is solving this one problem instead of getting distracted or having your energy be fragmented. Or that's a lot of times when my clients come to me and say like, I feel like I'm spinning my wheels and I'm doing a lot of work, but nothing's working. A lot of times I find that you're not identifying the biggest opportunity area in your business. And so if you do a CEO session with me, this is one of the biggest things we do is I do a CEO assessment and figure out what's your biggest opportunity area? Is it visibility? Do you have a beautiful offer but nobody's seeing it, right? Are you getting visible but you're really not selling or clearly communicating your offer?

    Anna (06:30):

Maybe you're messaging is off and so you have an audience, but they're not buying it because you're not speaking to them in a marketing savvy way that they're gonna get it. Maybe you are at full capacity and you are getting ready to scale your business. You're getting ready to launch a group offer to hire a team. And so we will identify the number one thing that's holding you back and actually start to workshop it. Actually start to make a list and get it done. 'cause I find with my clients, um, I even have current clients and we do CEO days at the end of every year. And what this does is it really helps them not just theorize or plan. 'cause a lot of, you're working with coaches and you're coming up with a lot of plans, but you actually need to execute and take action because as you start to take action, that's where the mindset blocks come up, right?

    Anna (07:14):

It's great to be like, oh yeah, I'm gonna post on social media for 30 days, but it's not till you're on day four that you're like, oh my God, this reel actually picked up and now people are commenting and now I'm scared, so I'm gonna stop posting or whatever. That's the whole reason why my CEO day, it's not just one fell swoop, it's two sessions because I want you to start taking action. I want things to go wrong so that we can troubleshoot, right? We think that when we start taking action on a strategy and things go wrong, they're going wrong, but I'm actually like, Ooh, it's going right because now we know the challenge area and now we can solve it. So many of you are out there in your business and something goes wrong and then you stop or you take 10 steps back instead of like, oh my gosh, this is great data.

    Anna (07:56):

Now we can shift. Now we know what to do, right? Do not leave the race. Just adjust your course. I always tell my clients like the easiest thing is to like move a ship that's out of the dock, that's into the water, that's taking action, that's moving, and those little setbacks, those little hurdles, those little tides along the way are so, so necessary. I wanna keep this one short and sweet, but I also wanna include a resource for you and it is my CEO assessment. Okay? Sorry, my kids were singing Christmas carols. It is that time of year. Okay, what was I saying? I was saying that I am going to include the CEO assessment because I am offering a limited number of free 30 minute CEO assessment sessions with me to get a little preview of what we can work on in our CEOD together.

    Anna (08:42):

A lot of times I get that this is an overwhelming concept, like, okay, like I do wanna prepare for my six figure year, for my three day work week. I wanna get clear on what's holding me back from that, but I'm also a little nervous. And so in a 30 minute assessment session, it's free. I'm doing a few of these. We can identify exactly what our plan would be for the CEO day so you can really see how you could get a return for your money for the session. I have had clients do a CEO day with me and nothing else for the rest of the year and get incredible results. I really believe that a lot of my clients end up going onto my mastermind from the session. But some of them just do that session and that that's enough, right? That clear action plan, that clear strategy.

    Anna (09:27):

I have a client do the CEO session and double her income and make six figures the next year just from that plan and that strategy. And I really think a clear plan cannot be underrated, especially if you're wanting to work part-time hours. So I will include the link to a free 30 minute CEO call. And in that, if you are able to grab one of those that we can really dive into what's most holding you back from your three day work week, from your six figure year, and if we did a CEO day together, exactly what we would cover, exactly how we could dive in and kind of the plan so that you can really see and understand how that can make a difference in your business in the new year. Okay? So excited to offer this to you and just sending you the biggest, biggest hug.

    Anna (10:11):

I know the holidays can be a little bit of a whirlwind, but give yourself permission. My favorite thing to do during the holidays is to do what I call working light mode. I teach this in the mastermind. I am gonna take Christmas week off, but outside of that, I'm taking about two, three weeks of working light, which means I work about three to five hours a week, about one hour a day where I check in with clients. I do some minimal actions, but I think so often in business we have this black and white mentality where we feel like we have to completely unplug or be or be working 40 hours a week. And for me, it's kind of nice to have the working light mode because then I don't have to do a lot of prep when we're gonna completely go off the grid.

    Anna (10:49):

In our business, we have to like notify our clients and we have to like make a big hullabaloo about it, right? Instead of like just going into kind of like stealth mode because we're working virtually and no one knows or cares anyway, right? It's kinda like when we have to like announce on social media, like, okay, I'm not gonna put like no one cares, okay, <laugh>. So permission to go into working light mode or whatever that looks like for you. A nice thing about it for me too is I feel like when I return to my business, I'm not like feeling like a whiplash of like having to get back in and re-inspire myself or remotivate myself again. So what I like to encourage my clients to do is write down for them, what does working light mean? What do you wanna do? What don't you wanna do?

    Anna (11:29):

What boundaries do you wanna put on it? I really try to set a timer and be like, okay, I've got 30 minutes this morning to work. What can I do? Get in, get out and go. And then it actually helps me be more present with my family during the holidays because I've checked in for those 30 minutes so I can go another 24 hours and not worry about my business at all because I know I'm not forgetting anything. I know I'm not like not just not working, but not thinking about work. 'cause often I hear clients feel, say, I feel like I'm always working. And what it really is is they're not really working, but they're thinking and worrying and stressing about work. And so maybe try working light on for size. I would love to hear it and hopefully you can grab a CEO session. Okay? Have a beautiful rest of your day. Thanks for hanging out today.
